Mold Removal Portland

There are a number of simple steps you can take to prevent mold from taking root and spreading in your home in Portland. We have already discussed how to properly use your air conditioner to reduce the likeliness of mold growth, and today we’re going to get even more specific. As you know, moisture is mold’s best friend and is needed for it to live. And what little room in your home gets the most moisture and is often warm and closed in? That’s right: the place you clean and care for yourself is also a potential mold incubator… your bathroom. It is imperative that your bathroom be as well vented as possible, with an “exhaust” style fan and / or a window (ideally both, of course). Make sure to leave the door open whenever possible and to mop up any water you see splashed around when you are done bathing, brushing, etc. And make sure you take the time to frequently clean your bathroom with a good cleaner. A bit of bleach in water or a mixture if white vinegar and water will absolutely do the trick in place of a store bought cleaning product if you prefer, but whatever you prefer, keep it clean so mold can’t take over your space.
